I was reading a friend's blog (her adorable daughter happens to have Down Syndrome) and she shared the wonderful story of John Langdon Down, the man that discovered Down Syndrome (hence the name). I really had no idea that he had such a beautiful story. So, go read it. It's incredible. He was one of the first, if no the very first, to see people with disabilities for who they really are. I am glad to have trisomy 21 named after John Langdon Down.
